Growing up in Florida, my father owned a marine salvage business. I spent countless afternoons and summers in the boatyard scraping, patching, and sanding. Looking back, I see it as a blessing — the boatyard is where I developed my keen eye for detail. At 18, I took a job with Florida Final Coat, a high-production residential painting company based in Clearwater. There, I learned speed, efficiency, and advanced techniques for achieving a superior paint finish.

A few years later, the mountains called. In 2003, I moved to Big Sky, Montana, and founded my first company, Always Perfect Painting, serving the Bozeman and Big Sky areas. Specializing in fine woodwork and rustic log craft homes, we quickly became the premier painting company for the Yellowstone Club and Spanish Peaks communities, working on high-end resort-style homes averaging 7,500 square feet and beyond.

I was later hired by Bitterroot Timber Frames, a leader in luxury timber construction, as their in-house painter, project manager, and design consultant. This role allowed me to refine my expertise in carpentry, drywall, plaster, and roofing, as well as manage complex builds.

Eventually, the frigid Montana winters drove me to seek a more temperate climate. I chose to settle in Murphy, North Carolina, a place I love for its beautiful mountains, the stunning Nantahala Forest, and its friendly community.
